We recently had the pleasure of installing a couple of Nan's limited edition canvas prints in the lounge at the awesome Bali Hai Restaurant in San Diego. A fixture in the community since 1954, the Bali Hai rests on the Bay and overlooks the Downtown San Diego skyline with panoramic views. They went through a massive remodel a couple of years ago and it really looks fantastic (not that we didn't just love the way it was prior to remodel, but the blending of their old Polynesian tiki style with a new, modern flair really adds to the place!) The two pieces now featured in their lounge are The Mad Tiki Party (above) and Mr. Bali Hai (below). Both pieces feature their signature Mr. Bali Hai cocktail mugs and The Mad Tiki Party also pays homage to The Goof on the Roof - the restaurant's crazy fun character that rests on the roof and welcomes visitors with a glowing red eye!
Nan will also be releasing a limited edition print this summer with them that will feature Mr. Bali Hai himself. This is the first time that Bali Hai has worked with an artist to release a print like this and we couldn't be happier. The artwork has already been approved and the painting will be completed in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more details.
